Consider Your Career Choices
In many cases, your major will be direct preparation for your future career. If you plan to be a geologist, it makes sense to major in geology. In other cases, your degree may be great preparation for a number of careers. You don't have to be a historian if you major in history. You may pursue a career in law, politics, or a number of other areas. Your major may also be preparation for further academic study as a graduate student.
