Meet with your community college counselor to draw up an Educational Plan to guide your time there. Meet again before registration each term to track your progress. Plan ahead several semesters – organize a term-by-term plan, decide when you expect to transfer.
Take the English/math assessment as soon as possible, if you haven’t already. You may need to complete prerequisites before you can enroll in UC-transferable English and math courses. It’s important to focus on English and math first, since they will provide much of the foundation for your University work.
If you weren't eligible for admission out of high school, make sure
you complete the
UC
Transfer Admission Eligibility requirements. You'll find the lists
of all the courses approved for UC Transfer Admissions Eligibility on ASSIST.
If you are considering major that requires a large amount of major prep, start to complete those requirements as early as possible, to figure out if you indeed like the major.
