Transfer Admission Guarantee
Seven UC campuses offer guaranteed admission to California community college students who meet specific requirements. By participating in a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, students receive early review of their academic records, early admission notification, and specific guidance about major preparation and general education coursework.
The TAG matrix provides a list of participating campuses, eligibility criteria, and campus-specific notes.
To pursue a TAG:
- Fill out a TAG form and review it with your community college couselor and/or UC campus TAG advisor before submitting it to your chosen campus.
- When your TAG is approved, fulfill all remaining coursework and GPA requirements in your TAG agreement.
- Apply for admission to UC during the appropriate filing period (see www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply).
